Welcome to The Listening Cove
A calm, confidential space where you can be heard, understood, and supported at your own pace.
Life can feel overwhelming at times. You might be carrying more than people realise, feeling stuck in your thoughts, or simply tired of trying to hold everything together.
You don’t have to do that here.
The Listening Cove offers a space where you can slow down, talk freely, and begin to make sense of what you’re feeling—without judgement, pressure, or expectations.
Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, low mood, burnout, relationships, or just feeling not quite yourself, you are welcome here.
You don’t have to have the right words. You just have to start
About me
Hi, I’m Helen.
I’m a person-centred counsellor, and I believe that everyone deserves a space where they can feel truly heard and understood.
I know that life can be complex, and that we don’t always have the time or space to process what we’re going through. Over time, those feelings can build up and start to feel overwhelming.
That’s where counselling can help.
My role isn’t to tell you what to do or to have all the answers. Instead, I offer a supportive, non-judgmental space where we can explore things together, at your pace.
I work in a way that is:
Compassionate
Honest
Grounded
Led by you

1:1 in person counselling
I offer face to face counselling in Liverpool
Areas I support
Anxiety, low mood, burnout, feeling overwhelmed, work stress, stuck in a diet cycle, SEND, parenting, relationships, boundaries, feeling lost or alone.
I offer
A space you can talk freely without judgement, at your pace with no pressure and somewhere to explore your thoughts that feel to heavy to hold alone.

Counselling journey
Starting counselling can feel unknown, and sometimes a little daunting.
At The Listening Cove, the focus is on creating a space where you feel:
Safe enough to open up
Accepted as you are
Able to go at your own pace
There is no expectation to have everything figured out.
Some sessions might feel like a relief—finally saying things out loud.
Some might feel emotional.
Some might feel quiet.
All of it is okay.
This is your space to bring whatever you are holding, without needing to filter or explain it perfectly.
Sessions are a space for you to:
-Talk openly without fear of judgement
-Explore your thoughts and feelings
-Feel heard and understood
-Begin to make sense of what’s going on for you
-Sessions are led by you. There’s no pressure to be a certain way or to “fix” anything quickly.
